Our transition to an apartment complex was made easier with their incredible swimming pool. We gave up a yard and gained a pool with a sandy beach on one side that eases into the water. It has a shallow side that gradually deepens to about 6 feet. Ian loves his snorkel and flippers and is ready for the real thing! He also is showing off his cannon ball, pencil jump, and back flip... that looks a lot like the Nestea plunge. It is pretty great.
The beach is perfect for building castles and digging holes. It is also perfect for babies! Our friend, Diane is sitting with her beautiful twins, Anna and Lauren.
Ian and his friend, Samuel are enjoying the deeper side. Miah tags along for as long as she can. They are all little fish. I can't believe how comfortable they are going under water, jumping in, and just getting to where they want to go. I signed Ian up for swimming lessons next month and am glad that he will learn some specific skills. However, it's pretty amazing how much both of my kids are learning just from day to day play at the pool.
My kids wear 50spf sunscreen everyday! We are so tan...and it's only April. I picked up a swim shirt and shorts set for Miah. Doesn't she look like a future surfer girl?

Kristy,
I found your blog through Criscell's. I hope that you don't mind if I pop in every once in a while to see your cute family!

What would we do without the pool. Thanks for inviting us to swim and letting us in. We love swimming at your pool.
PS- I'm so excited about parents magazine. Thanks for thinking of me.
KRISTY, I really appreciate this look into your life. I've been scrapbooking lately & am almost caught up starting with our move here! It's fun. We actually also have a family blog where we put some family adventures- therockwire.blogspot.com :) I need to put up a new one.
Kristy, I found your blog through Criscells as well. You have such an adorable family. We will have to meet up at the pool when it opens again.
